where does this termometer thing go? on t CPU

well the case I got has a small screen on the front that tells you the temperature of your CPU and Hard drive, and it has two small wires labled
CPU and HDD but I dont know where to put them I thought that maby you had to put the CPU wire(that is very flat at the end same with HD)between the cpu and the heat sink but it makes the heatsink sit funny and this is a $355.00 CPU so I want the heatsink well in contact with the CPU, and I havent the slightest as to where i'm supposed to put the one for the HD.

I meant I dont know where I'm supposed to put the wire on the HD
