DVD rebuilding?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-13 23:19

I have 2 movies that I wish to burn: one of which is an iso, the other is simply the movie files. I've tried burning with nero, dvd decrypter, dvd shrink and alcohol 120, every coaster I make works perfectly on my computer's dvd player but as soon as I put it in a real one attached to my TV I get the ol' incorrect disc crap. Am I missing something here? I don't think it could be region protection because dvd shrink has an option to make it region free. Is there a way to rebuild the file or something to make it compatible on everything? thanks ahead of time.

It sounds like your standalone player might not be able to read DVD-R or DVD+R discs. Look up your make and model of player here:

to see if it's compatible with -/+ discs. You could also try burning at a slower speed, or using different brand blank media.

well I know its compatible...somewhat. I've used DVD+/-R's before and they've worked...however you may be right about the brand. The search continues.

If your burner supports it, look into changing +R booktype.
If not, just get a newer standalone.

Don't change these.
