Get ProcessExplorer and find out from where each one of those is coming out of.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-14 2:06

GET A FUCKING VIRUS SCANNER!

It's simple as that...

SYSTEM RESTORE IS YOUR FRIEND

Why does nobody ever try System Restore first?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-14 5:50

sorting your processes alphabetically is fine too

>>9 where is system restore on 98?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 4:00

>>12
I lol'ed at you still using 98.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 4:15

>>13
98 was free, XP...is ~$200 for the uncrippled version.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 5:50

>>14
When was 98 free?

I think what he means is it's easier to pirate than XP (no WPA, no Genuine Advantage checks). However, just because it's easier doesn't make it better. Geez, if you want something that's easy to pirate and not shit and unstable and obsolete, get Windows 2000 (yes, I know MS have retired primary support for it, but hotfixes are still being issued until 2010 - read their product lifecycle pages).

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 7:31

>>15 Might have come with the compy. That counts as "free" for some.

Uhhh, a process list for Win98 does not look like that...

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 11:36

can you even take a screenahot when the task manager is open in 98????

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-15 14:38

I'm >>14, and >>17 got what I meant. I could pirate XP, and then run fucked up unpatched Office and Word or if I get apps updated properly risk having the MS Party Van knock down my door.

How bout actually paying for software?
I mean, if you can afford a computer and all. Unless...

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 3:39

>I mean, if you can afford a computer and all. Unless...

that's right; I spent all the money I had on the computer, with nothing left over for software.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 7:30

Pay for software? Insane.
Pirate software? Stupid.
Free software? REAL Ultimate Power!

You mean you can hook me up with free, legit copies of Office XP, etc; or are you talking about shitty knock-offs that can't even handle simple word macros or excel spreadsheets? BTW, school requires I have some sort of power point program too.

Linux makes a great server; but I'm not an IT professional.

And you never will be.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 14:02

>>26
And that's a good thing.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 15:14

I laugh at those who say Open Office is better then Office XP.  OO can't even do envelopes right.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 15:45

>>26
Nice comeback, what are you, some sort of fag?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 18:49

>>1
Stop using Internet Explorer, fag

brokenoffice.blarg is a bloated piece of shitware that Sun bought off some random company and then dumped on the open sores community. I hate it when people describe it as one of open sauce's flagship products. It's a classic example of proprietary crap, and it's pretty much unfixable. The best thing to do with it would be to salvage any useful parts (its .doc format filter is pretty decent) and merge them into KWord or something.

Don't be so negative.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 21:08

>>32

Why shouldn't we be negative about it?  Are we supposed to say that the product is great just because it's open source?  If I had to pick an open source Word alternative, I would tell people to use AbiWord and not OO Writer.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-16 21:59 (sage)

>>33
Sure, but you don't need to bash OO.org into the ground.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-17 1:25

I don't mind OOo that much, the ximian stuff is getting ported back in, and they've made great strides with 2.0. don't diss Sun either, without them a lot of open source stuff never would have gotten off the ground. love the big companies, they're the ones that can actually pay their developers to work on open source software.

The Original Poster (me) still needs help desperately

Unfortunately, there's no cure for stupidity.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-17 9:29

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-17 19:20

Their templates suck and are ugly.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-20 13:53

OP still needs help deperately, I have tried system restore but it doesnt work because of this virus and neither AVG nor Norton could find any virus for this thing. HELP. Some persyn told me it was Daltonism but decided to be a complete asshole and not explain what that is, when Google yields about much help as the goggles.

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-20 16:17

reinstall your operating system douchebag

you will get no help from Anonymous

I do not forgive your stupidity, and I was the one who gave you that virus in the first place.

Don't change these.
