Using PC to sharpen PS2 video, etc.

If you have a capturecard and TV out is there a program that will run filters on the incoming stream to sharpen/resize then video and then output to TV out in realtime? That way one could setup a mediacenter PC to play a console or TV on a HDTV or LCD with a small increase in image quality.

if your going to rip videos from ps2 discs, then look around for a program that'll let you rip it directly from the disc. i forgot what its called i'll have a look on my hd later.
