(yes im stupid i know i caused this so get off it already and read)
Earlier i attempted to install 2 fans from an old computer onto my new one and one of the fans (the largest) was rigged by my friend to basically 2 wires were connected into 2 of the 4 slot things by just sticking them in there, well my stupid ass decided to try the same right as i got the two wires into the slots it sparked and my system turned off... well okay so i try to restart it and it says that windows/system32/config/system isnt found or corrupted... and i didnt have the xp disc that came with my comp so i bought a new copy of windows.. as i try to repair it it says that my HARD DRIVE ISNT INSTALLED.. as i try to install a fresh copy MY HARD DRIVE ISNT FOUND yes they are plugged in and it will boot up to the point where it says that part of windows isnt found. Fucking piece of shit dell website is retarded and gave me the run around for the costomer service number AND I STILL HAVENT FUCKING FOUND IT my warrentee is still good but its no good if i cant find the fucking number.

So my plea is this:
Should i buy a new HD stick it in the comp install windows and be out a shit load of money OR can someone post the number for dell so i can see if i can get it fixed :( much help needed quick! thanks

Your warrenty is fucked if you caused the physical damage; which they'll be able to tell that you did.

1) Use more periods. Reading you post is painful.

2) Installing hardware - even as benign fans - when the power is on sketchy business.

3) If you can boot to the point that its telling you system files are corrupted then the hard drive is probably working, since it can read the MBR and such.

What driver disks came/are available for your PC? Does Dell provide any RAID or other type of disk drivers? The kind you would specify when the windows install say "Press F6 to load 3rd party drivers."

NO
They will NOT take your 'windows' back.  As far as they know, you jacked the serial code inside.

Sell it on ebay, or a swap meet, or sell it to a friend to make back some of your losses.

Tell them you don't agree to license agreement and that it told you to return it to the store if you don't agree to it and pray tell they take it back.

Don't change these.
