Basically, when I import or record or whatever you call it from my camcorder (Canon mv830i) through firewire, it drops frames at a consistant rate.
Its about 60 dropped frames per 10 seconds (30fps video). It also results, not only in slightly choppy video but also (which is probably the worst part) crackly popping and jumpy audio.
I have no idea what is wrong, I've shut down all my other programs and I am running a
3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4

help, this is giving me the shit and several stomache ulcers due to stress.
