Well, I've recently aquired an XP pro upgrade disc so my Win. 98 won't suck as much. But, when I put the dist in, it reads it for a few seconds, then stops. If it helps, I'm running on a '98 E-Machines E-Monster with P3.
Kthx.

Got autorun turned on? Tried double-clicking the CD in My Computer?
Wipe and do a clean install anyway - it's much better.

When I click the CD in my C Drive, it says it's not done loading or something. it's been like that for an hour.

You might have a duff CD there, or your CD drive is dying. Can you boot from the XP CD?

If you boot the computer with the XP CD in the drive, does it boot up the XP installer?

Put CD in drive
hit reset on computer
if it doesnt boot to CD
restart
press F1 or esc to get to bios settings, goto boot order change so your CD drive is first to be checked for boot.
If it fails again, get ubuntu, install. PROFIT
