360 and new TV, or new computer tower

hey guys I have saved up $1600USD and have two options get a new TV and a Xbox 360 for about $400 for the Xbox360 and $800 for the TV, or build a new computer tower for $1200 to $1300.

I really love to build computers, but theres some really cool games for the
360, but my computer is 3 years old and upgrading it is useless, but I really do need a new TV my curent one doesnt have AV ports on it. but theres also some awsome computer games that are coming out and the games
I have on my computer right now dont run well. so /comp/ please give suggestions

Opinions, which are fine. Of course, I hate M$, myself. But I look at it this way, To beat the 360, you need a about that has about $1200+ worth of hardware inside. Plus, you get little gurantee that all games will play very well. PC has alot of good games, but all I play is FPS and RPG's anyhow. Hell, I still play Halo: CE on my old Xbox. I look at the Stats and see an impressive console. It wasn't the desktop PC that killed the arcade, there's a good reason for that. Having a standardized system is the best way to go about making games. Plus, what happens when M$ puts it's users on lockdown with Vista and all of the great games are only compatable with that? I'm just sayin'
