360 and new TV, or new computer tower

hey guys I have saved up $1600USD and have two options get a new TV and a Xbox 360 for about $400 for the Xbox360 and $800 for the TV, or build a new computer tower for $1200 to $1300.

I really love to build computers, but theres some really cool games for the
360, but my computer is 3 years old and upgrading it is useless, but I really do need a new TV my curent one doesnt have AV ports on it. but theres also some awsome computer games that are coming out and the games
I have on my computer right now dont run well. so /comp/ please give suggestions

Windows only costs a little over $200 (For XP home edition with SP2) for a legitimate version.

Last I checked, to play a game like Call of duty 2, which is available for PC and 360 , You need either windows 2000 or XP. Sure, you can probably get it to run on linux using some kind of compatibility layer software like wine, But Wine is still just a beta release at this time.

That said, The OS doesn't seem to take up a considerable amount of the cost of the machine.
