pci-e or agp

Dudes,

I'm upgrading the cpu and motherboard combo and want some independent takes on whether it matters if I get a board with agp or pci-e.

What I would do with this computer:

- AutoCAD

- DVD ripping

- divx/xvid/mp4 etc viewing

I usually just play games on xbox or NDS, so I dont care about game graphics. I have an agp radeon that is a couple years old but it works fine for me.

My wuestion would be, do i really need pci-e? Is agp going away forever where if my card goes out ill have to upgrade the motherboard unecessarily?

What should I be concerned about?

For upgradability, PCI-E. AGP is just fine if you don't plan on getting a whup ass gaming update/video card later on. Yes, AGP will die, eventually. Top end cards won't support it soon.

The best card on the market now doesn't supprt AGP.

PCIe. AGP fails.

Don't change these.
