I reacently got an AMD X2 +3800 and an ASUS A8N SLi Premiun... now, when I read the manual for the mobo it didnt had anythig about the X2... I already know that to make it work I need to update the BIOS.... now... to update it I need to place a prossesor in the socket... can it be the same X2, or I will have to use another... can using the X2 damage the mobo or the prossesor itself?
my sound stupid, but I dont want to break them...

You shouldn't have to update the BIOS at all as long as the mobo is the same socket as the CPU.

It'll run fine. If you want better performance that takes more advantage of the dual cores then flash the BIOS. The only thing you'll really need to worry about is that to play some games without them crashing every 5 minutes is the dual core "patch" for Windows.
