Gaming sucks on Linux because:
- How do I ran Quake 3? There are almost no games.
- There's mediocre driver support from nVidia which is outstanding by Linux standards, and like no support from ATi.
- Linux generally sucks for sound, and don't get me started on the flaky drivers.
- Linux isn't exactly the best for gaming for a number of reasons and I don't know if performance will be that great.
- I don't know if they can use the newest GPU features with OpenGL from Linux, maybe they can, maybe not.
- Everything is a mess and you have to hack your way to do everything. Gamers can't do this, so companies won't bother.
