Free .swf to .gif?

I need a program that converts .swf to .gif or something similar.

in macromedia flash you can export movie to gif. the quality will be crappy unless you change the settings.

If Mplayer can play SWF files, it can write them to GIFs.

(There's Mplayer for Windows, too, but it might not contain all the nifty drivers that the Linux version does.)

mplayer doesn't play flash. If it did we wouldn't need to bitch about the lack of a decent flash plugin for linux.

gnash is on top of the gnu priorities list, but it's still in alpha
