I need help burning playable DVDs

I've never burned a video DVD so I'd appreciate it if someone could walk me through this. My main goal is to know how to burn video files onto a DVD and have them play on a DVD player and PS2.

good luck tring to get it to work on ps2, but i say if you have a dvd player that can read divx then you are in luck. but most the time for anime its codec is xvid, so you need to convert before wanting to burn the files to dvd. there should be tutorials on burning video dvds, and look at the dvd/audio video forums

Just get a really simple fire-and-forget DVD authoring program, like Sonic MyDVD. You stick your AVI file in one end and get a working DVD out the other. Getting it to play on your DVD player and/or PS2 is just a case of finding out what recordable media work with them (My DVD player will cope with just about about anything, and I've had no trouble with ordinary DVD-R discs on my PS2, though RW is a bit hit-and-miss).

Well I know PS2 only plays MPEG-1 or whatever and my PS2 is NTSC.
