I woke up this morning and found that whenever i try to play an online game, or download a large file, i get disconnected every 10 minutes or so for no apparent reason! God bless the never ending frustration that is the internet.

Are you on dial-up? (if so, you're lucky to use games at all) If you are, and you're using an internal modem, what's likelly happening is that your modem software is competing with your game for CPU cycles. Get a new (external, non-software modem) and problem fixed.

If you're not on dial-up; I've got no fucking clue what to tell you (sorry).

If you're on a D-Link, get a better router.  Or upgrade the firmware.

Don't change these.
