I have a few AVI files that are 100% complete and full, but when I try to play them back (windows media player, divx player) they display the incorrect time for the video. But if I move the slider, the video will go to that point in the file, but still show the wrong time. What is up with this?

Explain what you mean by "wrong time"?
Do you mean something like.. it's showing as being 4 seconds into the AVI when infact it's about 10 minutes in?

no, it'll read the total time of a 30 minute movie as like, 2 minutes (not exact, but an example) the movie will play all the way through, while the slider will go to 3 and stay there.
however, if i drag the slider half-way, it'll scroll to the middle of the movie. that happens no matter what the time reads.

I don't see this as an "AVI playback problem."
Sounds like they're playing back just fine... who cares if the time isn't displaying properly? Can't you watch 30 minute movies/episodes without a break? Just pause it or if you really have to close the player, just skip through gradually until you find your spot.
I've never had a use for the timers.
Sage.

Uninstall Windows Mierda Player, it's shit and it's infected with computer AIDS (digital rights infringement or DRM).
