Fixing the Windows Registry_Error Blue screen

Well I've heard you have to go through the recovery console on the Win XP disk, but see the thing is once i select the drive which to repair i get the registry blue screen. Problems caused by this are, black screen when windows attempts to load, blue screen when trying to do just about anything to repair it, etc, etc. Any ideas guys?

remember that firefox won't open that site, only IE will open it, but i ran that on a pc during an on-site repair call, and if you have the files prepared as is suggested in the article, you can fix that problem in about 15 minutes, my record is 8 minutes
