Isn't DX50 DivX 5.0?

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-20 3:46

Yea DX50 is DivX 5. Xvid VFW codec can decompress it for me.

FFDShow is much better than DivX and XviD for playback. Not only it plays over a dozen different formats (so you don't need as many codecs), but it offers a plethora of filters and improvement in a fully configurable filter stack. It's also easy to use.

I think someone did not look at the linked screenshot and first post. FFDShow is a DirectShow filter therefore completely useless here.

VFW and DirectShow are different shit for completely different uses.

go to videohelp.com and look up DivX version 5.1.1

i think there are newer versions and there some people who swear by XviD as an end-all replacement for DivX (i personally dunno)

also, vdubmod does not work with directshow, only ffdshow but there are utilities to get around this problem if you don't mind a bit or research

Don't change these.
