ATI Radeon x850 Pro

Hello, I've got a problem. I just bought a ATI Radeon x850 pro since my last video card's fan burned out, but whenever I play Final Fantasy XI or any other game, it freezes after 20 seconds or so. Sometimes it will exit the program and ATI's driver will popup with a message that the video card has ceased to respond. I've tried everything and I can't seem to fix the problem. Can you guys help me out?

Did you try reinstall the drivers?

Yes I did.. but it doesn't seem to be working.

Turn off VPU recover in the control panel.  That thing is a piece of shit anyhow.  See if that helps anything.

nope that didn't work.. now whenever it does that, it just shuts down the monitor
