/comp/ - FUCKING file extentions - OGM

so I downloaded a movie and its file extention is OGM I go the get the codec, I get the codec download it and install it. Then I try to play the file windows media player cant play it, I restart the computer and try again it still cant play it. I have run out of Ideas so I have come here, please help I do not know what to do. really I dont even know if it is installed right but it should be unless you have to install it into some registry or something. I've installed codecs before with success like MKV and such but this just puzzles me, so help please
