Longass battery life?

i want a laptop i can use all day in the outdoors. what's the longest you've ever seen a laptop battery last between charges?

basically looking for something i can get four or five hours out of (won't be playing games on it or anything like that) before i have to charge it. and i want to be able to buy replacement batteries without breaking the bank.

thoughts?

Practically anything Centrino-based will happily do four or five hours of light work. You might also want to consider buying a larger capacity battery for whatever laptop you choose, or one of those universal add-on external battery packs for SUPAR LONG LASTING shenanigans.
