Battlefield 2 PC Technical problems

running battlefield  with
1 gig of dual channel ddr 400 ram, a
3200+ 64 amd processor,
and a Geforce 7800 GT.  The ram is running in dual channel mode.  I just reinstalled and reformatted my hard drive with windows xp (because windows xp 64 bit edition sucks ass)  But for some reason, now, even with the settings on medium, and anti-aliasing off, the game runs and "sticks" for 5-6 seconds occassionally during the first 2-5 minutes of gameplay in multiplayer.  I'm not really experiencing this problem in single player though.  Afterwards, the game runs really smoothly and just fine.  I've seen what my machine could do before, and it can run this game on all medium settings easily.  The only difference now is that I turned sound quality up.  But still in single player, I don't have the same problem I do in multiplayer...

If you're using an xfi sound card than its most likely a problem with that.

c'n'q can be lowering vcore certain times in game where it doesn't need much power.. don't know if this will actually help but it's pure speculation.. disbale and try..

Don't change these.
