Samsung TS-H552B Problem

I have a Samsung TS-H552B DVD rewritter. A month ago I was trying to record a DVD and as usual I decided to make a test before recording (I am using Nero 6.6.0.15) and it showed an error, folowed by this "INVALID FIELD IN COMMAND" and then "INVALID TRACK INFO".
I tried to record the DVD with out testing it first, and it seemed to work but it when it finished the disc didnt work.
Now I searched the web for long time and found out it is a pretty common problem and one that is not only from Samsung... but I didnt found a solution for this problem. Thought a lot of people suggested the following:
1.Clean the lens... didnt worked
2.Update your firmare... already up to date, did it anyway... but it didnt worked
3.Use a diferent disc brand... the same problem
4.Return it to samsung... well you got me there, the waranty is over...
So does anyone know if there is a real solution to this problem... hope you guys can help me with this one...

It seems that optical drives are being made really shitty quality these days, my CDRW drive randomly died on me after a few months, and my DVDRW that i got a year ago gave me weird burning problems after 6 months.

if you've had it long enough to have to waranty run out, then i'd just reccomend buying a new drive, they're not overly expensive.
