MPEG-4 Audio Layer FTW

Wtf, You pirate 4 gigabytes of music and then when you open the folder that contains said music you realize in ABSOLUTE horror that folder contains 4 gigabytes OF USELESS MPEG-4 Audio Layer files. I swear on VIPPERS grave that by the end of this year I will have no hair left.

So good computer folk, I ask of you the task of telling me a quick and easy command line reencoder that supports batch conversion.

What's wrong with MP4? Maybe it's AAC inside.

AAC usually does quite well as far as lossy codecs go.

AAC is shit.

Why must people use whatever retarded format Apple wants them to? Fucking bullshit. Use OGG Vorbis. MP3 with a great encoder like LAME is excused for compatibility. But use anything else and lose.

Why must people use whatever retarded format Linux nerds want them to? Fucking bullshit. Use AIFF. MP3 with a great encoder like LAME is excused for compatibility. But use anything else and lose.

So uhhh, because of my lazyness, will LAME reencode?

What exactly does OGG Vorbis have to do with Linux? Last time I checked, there's better support for it on Windows than there is on Linux. And it's just as free. In fact, the fact it's free makes it platform-less.

Nothing. But don't let reality get in the way of a flamewar.

Don't change these.
