Gameing mice/mouse pads.

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-15 2:21

So, what do you guys recomend for a good gameing mouse. I've been thinking about getting the Logitec G5/G8 or the Razer Diamondback. I dont know much about either of these mice, but the Diamondback has been recomended to me a few times. And what about mouse pads? I've herd of the C4 mouse pad from cs hyde (just google C4 mouse pad, the URL is too long). Is that one any good? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I like the mouse pads with the kind of cushion padding for your wrist, even for gaming. This mouse pad i had is plastic with a fabric top where the mouse pad is and on the bottom theres a wrist pad. Whenever I use different pads my wrist hurts/gets red. Mice...Get a wired optical mouse, I love them. No battery change and it's optical so no annoying ball relying(getting stuck/jammed or cleaning it out).

I haven't used a mouse pad since I got an optical mouse years ago.

An optical mouse that doesn't suck, doesn't look like a fucking Star Trek ship, has enough butans (extra left and right buttons are nice for games), and costs the least, of course. Remember to avoid fucking Star Trek ships, you want a mouse, not a fucking Star Trek ship.

I suggest a good ol' optical intellimouse explorer (they still make 'em, right?)-- it has comfortable contours as long as you're right-handed.  Use that with your everglide mouse pad and you're set.

As for the wrist thing, I've found the best support for my wrist is actually an old 10-CD carrying case with a funky nylon-ish faux leather finish.

I've tried mouse mats with wrist supports, they always made my wrist sore.

Careful using mouse pads with opticals. The last pad I had was shiny and reflected the reader, so the mouse went all over the screen.

I had a shiny desk once, fixed that by cellotaping a sheet of paper to the desk and using that as a mousemat.
