I've already got 2GB of PC3200 GEIL here and a whole buttload of drives.
Good choice for upgrade, /comp/?

An Opteron? Even if it is dual core, I didn't think Opterons were good for anything beyond server-grade processor jobs.
I assume you've got other intentions since you're adding a heavy GPU as well. Maybe I'm just being dumb.

The Dual Core Opterons on Socket 939 are pearlers for overclocking, and have the same 1MB of Cache per core of the new FX60
