LCD Monitor signal

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-11 17:02

I recently bought a brand new LCD 15" monitor. On the first day it went fine, then on the 2nd day it suddently had this annoying problem.

When the CPU Process goes to like high (95-100%), the LCD monitor will start going blank for a second and then turn back on. It doesnt show "No Signal" message but just a black screen.

Ive put it on the lower refresh rate to 60Hz but the problem still arises. Anyone knows?

Sounds power related. Given the CPU uses more power at high loads, it might be that your power supply isn't sufficient enough for the video card, thus the signal loss at 95% and up.

Or you bought a crappy monitor. I dunno..

Don't plug the monitor's power cord into the back of your computer.

Im not sure if it cud be power issue. Before the LCD, i had an old CRT on it and it never had this problem before. BUt though it does seem a possibility though rather strange.

No i did not plug the monitor's power cord at the back of the comp. Its at its own separate power point.

Don't change these.
