Degraded RAID Array

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-10 14:37

So I turn my computer on today and I get the flashing message that my 2 drive RAID 1 array was degraded... okay thats not good, so before I can press the button to go to the manager windows boots up.

Windows shows the two drives indivdualy, but one apperent is 2gigs lighter than the other. I poke around and it seems one of the drives is about 2 days out of date.

Now, before I go and wipe one drive to rebuild the array since I cant seem to fix it as it is now, could someone tell me what happened? Both drives appear to be fine, the controler isnt broke, and nothing on the drives aside from the difference in data is messed up or missing. Why would one of the drives apperently decide to not save data for two days then the array coming up as degraded? ><

Sounds like a drive stopped working for some reason. Checked your cables and power supply? If that's not it, the drive's probably getting ready to fail.

Don't change these.
