Mac seems cool and all.. whats does putting an intel mean?

Its actually quite interesting. They came out with The MacBook pro (labtop) and new iMacs. Both of these use the intel Duo Core chips (duel core). That's nice and all, but the actually interesting part is the software. The intel macs can run all old PowerPC based programs using a fast translation software called Rosetta, it runs in the background and translates whatever program you are using. You should be able to run windows on the computer, and windows emulation will be much faster. Still comes with mac os X and all the apple goodies.

Well yeah, I guess you could install windows then play counter strike. Who knows, they might even port it over since porting apps will be about 1000 times easier for developers now. I don't know _all_ the specifics though, I could tell you when I get mine :P

The problem with porting is not about the processor as much as it's about the libraries.
I'm not very interested in the current offerings, but I might get a MacBook in a year or so, once all the annoying details like successfully tripplebooting MacOS/Linux/Windows have been worked out.
