Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro?

Recently, my laptop had memory problems, so Windows became a little flaky after unexpectedly turning off many times, so now I'm formatting my laptop to put Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 on it.  Previously, I had Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 on it.  The question is, should I keep Windows 2000 Professional, or should I put Windows XP Professional back on instead?

Does 2000 have support for complex script and east asian languages? In XP, I just install some files from the cd by going to 'Regional and Language options' in the Control Panel.
