Problem with a router

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-05 10:55

Hello /comp/
I'm having problem with a router at work. Until yesterday I could use P2P programs, but I can't connect to any P2P program, it seems a router is blocking all ports or stg like that. I'm having LOW ID on Emule & can't connect with any Bit Torrent Client. What can I do?! (Note: I don't know even the router's name >_< ) I downloaded a program & it told me that a router is between my PC & I-net but it didn't told me what was its name (I mean the router's name). Help!! Thanks in advance.

You have admin rights on the router ? If not, forget it.

Well, I used Http-tunnel & it worked, but its unlicensed so speed was awfully low >_<
& nope, I dont have admin rights, but I heard it was possible to find a solution.

HTTP tunnelling is inherently slow anyway (nothing to do with licensing). Maybe your network admin got wise and blocked it too.

Ok, I guess a magical solution doesnt exists. Thx anyway!

Don't change these.
