Installing Windows onto a PCI Storage Device

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-04 2:33

Ok, I purchased a new Hitachi 15000RPM HUS151436VL3600 and am running it through a PCI Adapter for SCSI Devices.
Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822141139
SCSI Adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16816123102

I am trying to have windows install on the drive being run through the PCI device, for some reason the install program cannot detect the drive. The drive works fine otherwise, it is partitioned and I can run it if another drive with windows is being run.

The install CD Prompts me to press F6 for third party SCSI and RAID devices, however, when I do so it asks me to insert a floppy disk for it to make it work. I got no such floppy disk from the adapter.

If someone has any idea of what I need to do, anything would be useful. Thank you.

Download the drivers and put them on a floppy. Install windows and go back to the F6/third part driver thing and use it there. Simplest way.

Thanks, I got it running fine.

Don't change these.
