My mom's boss is asking me about how to be able to scan documents and be able to edit them instantly. Right now, they have an HP ScanJet 3300C, but the HP software that comes with it sucks when it comes to recognizing the text, and it totally screws up the format of the documents, just throwing out text that's ocassionally wrong and other garbled crap.
I've done a bit of research and found out about these OCR software programs that supposedly do a better job. But there's a lot of them, and I have no idea which one to pick out. So do any of you have any recommendations on which program is the best, and what else should I do?
