Another 64-bit Thread

Name: nnms 2006-01-03 1:45

I currently have a 64-bit computer I got a few months ago. I do not, however, have a 64-bit OS. I know I can get one, but would it even be useful yet? I've heard so few programs support the 64 bit architecture at this time it wouldn't be worth spending the money on. Since every program I have now is 32-bit would it be true that upgrading now would not show a boost in performance since it would just be ramping down anyway? I have no idea really but with the little bit I've found a lot of people plan to roll over to 64-bit over the next year. So when, from all your collective inelegance, should I upgrade my OS?

Damnit. I'm not the same goddamn person. I don't follow wold4ch, you seem like a great bunch sofar. And thanks for giving me the steriotipical "www.google.com";. No shit sherlock. I'm not asking for help here, I'm asking for people's oppinions. That concept appears to go over your head.

Honestly, if you're not going to say something remotly useful shut up, ok? At least be a respectable human being an ASK if I've looked on Google yet. Or is that a prerequisite now? Do I need to tell you everywhere I've looked with a link to it all so you can then bitch that I talk too much or some shit?

Fine. When I originaly posted this I had both looked on google and the boards sitting in /comp. I didn't find what I was looking for.

So, for the record, if anyone else wants to post some useless reply to my question, don't. Don't post anything. Just let the thread die on its own.

Don't change these.
