I can't even recall the last time I used WMP. There are other programs, you know.

WMP is a bug.

I personaly use Winamp 2.8. Not that super-cool Winamp 5 with lots of funky-chunky features. And the only reason is speed. Winamp 5 took four secs to start, good ol' Winamp 2 starts even before i release mouse button.
But it was pretty hard to find that old instalation archive. It was nowhere on the internets. Finally i scraped it out on some scratchy CD which was inserted in a pc-mag...
OK, OK, now i shut up and go sleep.

Ever hear of oldversion.com? They go all the way back to version 0.2 of Winamp if you really want. Beats scraping around to find scratchy CDs from old PC mags...

Just disable the media library plugin, use a classic skin, and WA5 is just as fast as WA2.

Serves you right for downloading that. Windows Media Player is made of DRM and bloat. Get rid of that shit, install version 7 and the 9 Series standalone codecs, delete its shortcut, then proceed to install and use Media Player Classic for everything. There's no reason to install newer Windows Media Players, whatever microsoft tells you is a lie.

Use Media Player Classic.

Don't change these.
