Looking for a document indexer

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-29 1:25

I'm looking for a program that will go though a directory of MS Word documents, and then create an index of each word and which documents it occurs in, and has to be compatible with cyrilic characters.
Any suggestions?

Good luck. The MS Word document format is, for the moment, closed, so I doubt there's a program that does that. Convert them to text files and run them through a perl or shell script.

Yes, and it's not GPL, zomg, but hacka reverse-engineered my document format, and now there are a zillion ways to read a DOC file, OpenOffice and antiword being just two examples.

Don't change these.
