4chan Firefox Extension

Name: DamageInc !euFrYW8TXE 2005-12-20 22:12

Post suggestions for new features/improvements, report bugs and ask for help regarding the 4chan firefox extension in here.

See /g/ for the new beta.

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-20 9:38

For a workaround for the security problems with ff3 beta, go in extension folder, open 4chan extension 'install.rdf' file and edit the line with <em:updateURL> changing http to https.
Updates will stop working of course.

I installed the extension at http://hacks.atrus.org/mozStorage/ and now the annoying message disappeared.

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-22 18:53

When someone links a post, its annoying that after reading the linked post you have to go back to the post that linked it.

>>848
Why the hell are you not using MSDOS 6.22?

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-23 14:31

Ok, is it just me or when someone quotes a post (like >>840 did), it sometimes links to itself?  Happens mostly when it's on the reply page.

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-24 17:25

hay gaiz, i'm using MSDOS 6.21. i heard that 6.22 came out a while ago. is it safe to upgrade? i mean backward compatibility and stuff...

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-24 19:41

guize, how about this feature:

It should detect Youtube links in posts, then in the background it loads html of that link, extracts title and displays it next to the link.

so, instead of this:

"OMG, Hueg pileup, over 300 cars!!!11 http://youtube.com/watch?v=XYZXYZXYZ"

the post should read:
"OMG, Hueg pileup, over 300 cars!!!11 http://youtube.com/watch?v=XYZXYZXYZ (RickRoll'D)"

You get the point?

Santa Claws has 13 dicks and he goddamn made me suck em all!

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-05 17:07

>>865
I hope "Claws" was intentional.

I have a small problem which mainly occurs on /b/; when I'm in a thread, the Report and Thread Start buttons disappear when the page loads.  The only way I could get them to appear is by moving my mouse over the post itself so it "pops up" and twitches the posts' locations.  Is this a problem?

DAMAGE YOU BETTER FIX THE BUGS IN THE BETA SOON

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-13 22:54

about:config

extensions.checkUpdateSecurity  false

create as boolean if it's not already there

You create a potential security hole doing this though.

its probably just because the file is corrupt and the location invalid

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-17 5:13

How does one remove the extension when using a Mac?

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-17 23:44

By switching to a PC

Name: Finger 2008-01-20 19:43

Has the problem of linking to itself when the post has links to other posts.

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-24 15:25

/r/ link to the latest version of this for FF2

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-24 18:06

Christ the latest version is bugging on me heavily.
It was working fine in the beginning but since 2 weeks firefox just kept crashing.. got sick of it after a while and decided to test when it would crash by dissabling addons.
It stopped crashing when I dissabled this one and it still is dissabled now.
I really love this extension though so I'm patiently waiting for a bugfix release..

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-25 4:24

yea but where can I download it newfag????
