Quake 4, how I love thee, and yet how I loathe thee.
I love this game so much...however. I have an irritating stuttering problem. No matter what setting the graphics are at, even the lowest, the game uses virtual memory, therefore making it stutter every second or so.
I have a 6800 with 128mb of ram, and 1 gig of DDR ram running in dual channel. I know my graphics card has low ram, but shouldn't my gig make up for it?
It is just the demo. Perhaps it's a demo problem?
I don't understand... I've even tried turning off the page file, but windows forcibly creates one! GRAH.
In my motherboard's BIOS, I set the AGP aperture size to 128 megs when I first set it up, should I take it back down to 64 megs?
This card handles everything I throw at it with no stuttering problems, ever. Just quake 4. Help!
