My school has this gh3y webfilter by the name of netsweeper, and I REALLY want to bypass it. It blocks Google as adware, for Christ's sake. Sooooo... yeah. You guys have any bypassers or anonymous surfing tools to link to? Don't try to link me to goatse, I know better than to ctrl-v+ctrl-c miniurl links.

Install this on your home computer, it's the least messy method:
I did that a while ago and STILL haven't got it. And for the record, anonymous proxy browsers are blocked by the ENTIRE CATEGORY! For fucks sake, google caches are blocked too!

Well that's tough shit then. It's your school's network admin's job to keep you from getting stuff you shouldn't be. Not to protect you, but to keep the school out of trouble. Just deal with it and save the dodgy surfing for home.
Shut up. 8bitpeoples.com is listed as occult propaganda or some bullcrap like that. And EFF.org, that's Electronic Frontier Foundation, you sick bastards, is a matchmaking site. At least according to netsweeper. It's like they hired anti-entertainment, fundamentalist soccermoms to program it, like "OH MY GOSH TIMMY, STRONG-BAD SAID THE C-WORD*blocks website under wrong category*"
What computers does your school have? If Macs, and if they have Firefox installed, the I.T.s might have been stupid enough to leave the Prefences pane wide open. Firefox doesn't go through the standard Safari and IE settings (at least, by default).
Go home, surf to a proxy list, copy and paste the entire list,
1.) put it in a .txt file on a USB flash drive, or
2.) email it to yourself (that might be filtered though)

Your point doesn't refute >>5. Your school is required to run censorware regardless of its quality so that they have a defense the day they are sued because a student was offended by http://gay-homosexual-faggots-with-large-penises.com/
>>7
No sensible network admin would install the censorware on the client. It is probably located on another box
Oh and BTW:
Lunix LiveCD, problem solved.

Exactly. Your school isn't required to give you access to anything on the internet that has no educational context. Netsweeper is usually run as a separate Linux server, so every request will go through it - even if you did manage to bypass it, your access logs would make it extremely apparent you were doing so, and you'd very quickly find yourself with no internet access at all. Even a LiveCD wouldn't solve that - and any half-intelligent network admin isn't going to leave the PCs with the CD-ROM higher in the boot priority than the hard disk and with the BIOS setup not passworded.
A couple of years back a school local to me got in trouble because some kid had got onto some porn, and his mother told the local rag about it (they weren't running any filtering software, just relying on the very patchy filtering of their ISP). In the end it turned out the kid had located this stuff at home and been encouraged to try it again at school by his mother to give them an excuse get money out of them.

Lamest counter-point ever. Deal with it, you (assuming this is OP) aren't special enough/probably shouldn't be allowed access to anything that's filtered anyways. I know what is and isn't filtered, I deal with school system filters at least once a week. Of course it's annoying. Of course it filters things that shouldn't be filtered. That's the school admin's job, deal with it.
Or say you're borderline autistic, start bringing in a laptop, and ask for special privilages.
I nearly got my computer privileges revoked in high school because I figured out that if you unplug the network cable and replug it at the right time the ancient Novell software wouldn't require a login but Windows still talked to the DHCP and got internet access. My friend and I were so lazy and free about it we were basically asking to be caught. Even after the librarian had our accounts disabled we still showed up to play. After we were finally caught they let my friend go but made me do some tech support with the school's admin. It just doesn't pay to be the brains in a criminal group.
BTW, Liero fucking rocks on those rain days.
Also, you can bypass any filter list if you use a script based proxy. I wrote one using PHP to beat the system at my school. It didn't support much, just basic HTML and images.

won't work. You need to bypass the proxy in teh school first. If you use another proxy than the school's then you won't even have access to teh internet. (At least if the admin is not a complete dork).
BUT you could host a PHP-Script that GETs the sites for you and embeds them on your homepage.

wouldn't it work if the school's proxy has not banned whatever dyndns name you chose?
I bypassed my school's filtering by typing in websites' IPs in hex.

how the hell do you type it in hex? say, runescape for example.

If you can't convert a domain name to an IP address, and then that IP address between decimal and hex, you're too stupid to deserve to bypass anything.
OK Moving back on topic the easiest way to do it is to create a proxy site yourself! Just follow this tutorial exactly:
1) Go to glype.com and download the latest proxy script (NOTE THIS IS BLOCKED ON SCHOOL COMPUTERS AND REQUIRES YOU TO DO IT ON YOUR HOME PC OR USE A PROXY TO DOWNLOAD THE SCRIPT IN THE FIRST PLACE!)
2) Extract the zip file
3) Create another zip file and put the contents of the upload folder into it (DO NOT INCLUDE THE FOLDER UPLOAD JUST WHAT IS IN IT)
4) Put the new zip file onto usb flash drive unless you have downloaded the script and made the zip file on a school pc. If you have done so proceed to the next step.
5) Go to 000webhost.com for free hosting which the scripts you downloaded will go on to run!
6) Sign up to 000webhost
7) After creating a site with them go to ftp manager --> public_html --> upload
8) Once in the upload page go to archive upload --> browse --> find the zip file with the scripts on it.
9) YOU HAVE NOW SUCCESSFULLY CREATED A PROXY WHAT'S NEXT?
I'll tell you what's next! You can add different themes by going to glypedesigns.com and find plugins for your proxy on the glype forum at forums.glype.com
To install a plugin simply upload the plugin you downloaded to the plugins folder by doing the following:
Login to 000webhost --> FTP Manager --> Public_Html --> If the plugins file you created has a plugins folder upload directly to here by following the other steps if it doesn't go to the plugins folder and simply upload there.
________________________________________________________________
FOLLOW THOSE STEPS EXACTLY AND YOU'LL BE HOSTING YOUR OWN PROXIES IN NO TIME!
