I was trying insert video files into a PowerPoint 2000 slideshow. The videos I wanted to insert were AVI files taken with my Canon PowerShot A400 digital camera. Anyhow, PowerPoint refuses to insert the files. The videos open & play normally in Media Player, jsut not in PowerPoint. I tried other video files I have on my computer of various file types, & some PowerPoint will insert & display, others it won't. Is there a (free) way to convert the files to a format PowerPoint will recognize?
