Motherboard Kits

Im thinking about upgrading an elderly computer up to an acceptable speed. Should I buy a motherboard kit or should i just buy each component seperately? Remember im not looking for an amazing spec machine which will last for enternity just something which will get by on the internet and using media.

Motherboard kits use shitty motherboards. The motherboard is going to be the most important part of this computer, since everything else is just higher numbers: something you don't need. You need compatibility and function, those are the things motherboards offer. Buy separate components.

Truth. The only thing motherboard kits guarantee is that you won't accidentally buy incompatible components. But if you do your research properly and buy a decent motherboard, you'll be better off in the long-run.

Yeah, don't do things half way; if you're going to bother upgrading parts of your computer instead of throwing it away and buying a new one, then do it rightly.

Don't change these.
