Go to 2ch with IE and when it asks you to install Japanese Support click Yes

Alternatively, load up your Windows disc and go to Regional Settings and then install the Japanese IME

Have neither. I meant website link.

er, rephrase...don't have IE at all, and have misplaced the second win disc. (prebuilder gave me two, one with everything and the other 'plain')

Steps for Win2000, WinXP differs slightly:
1. Run "intl.cpl"
2. In the bottom box, check Japanese
3. Click OK
4. Follow steps (insert CD etc)
