Wildtangent for Winamp - what happened?

a very long time ago i had a couple of cool-looking visualisations (i'm thinking ChristmasDancer) for Winamp by Wildtangent. i don't recall exactly what happened; i think winamp upgraded and then they wouldn't work, and then wildtangent became synonymous with malware and now you'd be hard-pressed to find an english language site that even mentions them.

what the hell happened? these visualisations were very slick, and the dancing females looked better than a lot of Poser images. and they moved in realtime and did so on my cheap-ass system. was it another case of corporate greed and stupidity?

Winamp is at war with WildTangent. Winamp has always been at war with WildTangent. WildTangent has always been the spyware enemy of Winamp.

Just forget that WildTangent shit. They produce malware. A witty visualization isn't worth the price of getting that shit installed. Besides, even if you don't mind being spied, it's a crappy piece of software to install. And there are many better, much better vis for Winamp. Try R4, Geiss 2, Jet, Milkdrop, etc.
