F.E.A.R. - Cyclic Redundancy Check Error

So yeah, went out and bought F.E.A.R today...I got the 5 CD version, since it was the last copy left. Whenever I try to install it, it crashes about midway through CD 2 (Or cab3) and complains about a Cyclic Redundancy Check error, then closes out. I went to the official site, and came up with this page:

And tried everything on it, which all failed, save updating firmware since my drive dosen't look like it has an update. What do you guys think I should do?

tl;dr - Anyone have cab3 of FEAR that works, or a solution to the CRC check?

a) copy protection
b) lousy manufacturing processes

CRC error means the disc is unreadable (read errors that cannot be corrected). Probably the CD, possibly your drive (I've sometimes had a CD that gives CRC errors in one computer but not another). Take it back to the shop and exchange it.

Software piracy FTW. There shouldn't be any moral problem since you own a copy.
