Gamepad Issues

Hay guys, I've got a minor problem with a handful of games not letting me use the digital controls of my gamepad (Hammerhead Digital, not pictured, durr). They just switch to the thumbstick, which is really annoying to use with 2d games, imo. Anyone got an idea how to fix that?

The digital controls are usually button 12, 13, 14, and 15, or something similar. If your game doesnt support changing the controls like that, you can use a program called joy to key. change the controls to the keyboard, and map each button on the joypad to the keyboard using j2k.
