Sharp S sound

Hi guys. Is there any way to get rid of the annoying sharp "S" sound? For example, I was watching a movie where they said "Soshi" the "shi" part sounded very annoying and sharp.. do you get what I mean? Picture slightly related

There are "reduce plosives" filters in some audio editors, they might do this.
