Heres the deal, after a recent power outage my computer will boot, the window s intro music plays, but no matter which monitor I try to use, it wont display a picture. I use a dell with onboard video, do you think its possible this power outage fried it? I have tried unplugging and plugging everything back in, yes I was using a surge protector, and for a day after the power outage a picture displayed, and it worked normally, but since then...nothing.
Any help?

Does it display anything during boot (the Dell screen at the start, the Windows boot logo)? If not, your onboard video is shagged.

Have you tried the monitor on another computer?

do the cmos reset jumper inside the computer(not sure? see manual). i have a computer that forgets if its suposed to use the onboard or PCI video connection sometimes when its unpluged. it may have borked(unrelated to the poweroutage) and set to pci/agp slot only or onboard video disabled.
also check out bootup beep codes or if your mobo has a speech module/chip for boot status reporting(or MSI mobos have that 4 LED thing in the back slot).
