bitcomet rewriting completed files?

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-04 4:53

over the past week+ i've been downloading a file (4+GB, 26 episodes to be exact)
i was 93% complete when just minutes ago i decided to single out episodes 6 & 7 cause both were at 98% and i wanted to watch them now instead of waiting another hour or twelve for the etire file to completley finish.

so, i single out the said files.

but in doing so accidently changed the directory and the download begins at 0%. realizing i had changed the directory, i simply thought no problem, i can change it back to the original folder and all will be fine.....right? WRONG!!

those two episoides have restarted at 0% even though those two files were recently at 98%. now im not here to ask about recovering those two files, ill cope with the loss

my problem now is, how in the world do i continue downloading episodes 8-26 without the rewrite happening again, all the incomplete files have the BC! extension which i thought was supposed to stop a mistake like this from happening

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Thanks for not saying you're using BitComet, it helped improving my deduction skills.

Never did that, and I don't know how is it supposed to do (although I think you should be able to reuse partial files). Try asking in the BitComet board.

I think you need to improve your reading skills as BitComet is mentioned in the topic...

Lol, I lost. Yet I still improved my deduction skills.

BitComet is the least faggy client, if it's faggy at all, not like that Java crap out there.
