difference between unbuffered/registered RAM?

whats the diffrence? well normal ram occasionally. _very_ occasionally flips a bit here and there, causing corruption.

if your google, or somesuch. you cant have this happened. so you buy registered ECC memory, possibly buffered. which adds yet another layer of protection.

ECC stands for error correction and checking(or something close to that), btw

and im willing to bet you could have looked this up very easily on wikipedia. or howstuffworks
