firefox bookmarks....where?

im just wondering where the bookmarks are in my firefox folder. i was just poking around today and the thought struck me, i couldint find them or any file that would contain my bookmarks within my firefox folder

i did a normal Windows search for "bookmarks.html" and it only came up with the stock Mozilla entry.  any ideas why the above file didn't show up?
